July 2, 2010, a somber day we will all remember with remorse, bitterness, and sadness, at the senseless and devastating blow that has been delivered to us all by the inopportune transgression committed and the monumental loss we now must endure.  A day to seek God, asking,  why, oh why?  A day of introspection, looking for meaning and purpose for our own lives; seeking answers, searching for solace where none is to be found.  And yet with the horrific and untimely circumstance none of us could ever control, we find hope and comfort in the reading of God's word to us,

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

For we indeed have the victory over death and the promises are real and eternal.  In the words of Job (ch 42),  who are we to question? And who are we to understand HIS divine appointment. Not one of us!  And yet here we are, destitute and void but with the one promise we hold to be true:  life eternal.  And now our mother, with open arms, invites him to join her at the throne to worship God himself.  So we instead turn our thoughts to the grand celebration there must be today in heaven!  A day that he longed for since he found life eternal many years ago back in Peru.  And thus how can we deny him his triumphant entry?  A life truly dedicated to the pursuit of godliness and without blemish, now enters perfection forever.   May we all likewise pursue the character he tirelessly sought to achieve!

Our heartfelt goodbye to a truly remarkable individual, our father and friend.

You'll be missed!

Born in Arequipa, Peru, of Carlos and Zoila Rosa Rendon, Carlos Segundo Rendon passed from this earthly life to an eternal life in Heaven on July 2, 2010, joining his beloved wife of 49 years, Theda Rendon, and other loved ones preceding him in death: brothers Victor and Jose (Pepe), and sisters Rosa and Gladis, bringing great rejoicing in Heaven at these reunions.

Brothers Orestes and Mike; nine adult children: Zoila, Mark, Zarella, Zellia, Zusann, Zinida, Michael, Maurice and Zophia; their spouses; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews mourn this great loss but are comforted by the knowledge of his triumphant homecoming in Heaven where we will someday be reunited with him in great glory. Carlos leaves us a legacy of ardent belief in the Creator and the wonder of His plan for salvation, open to all who believe and accept this merciful gift, through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

A healthy, vibrant 85 year old, Carlos had many plans for the immediate future, never slowing down for sickness or old age. He pursued his passions which included cultivating and enjoying God's wondrous creations, from the many varieties of glorious palm trees to whispering pines, from the sweet juice of mangoes and other exotic tropical fruits to the delicate beauty of hibiscus in the oasis of our Florida home.

To Papa: We love you and miss you. Our heartfelt goodbye to a truly remarkable individual, our father and friend. Until we meet again.
